Civics is a learning material in order to improve the quality of insight into citizenship in line with the context of national and state life in the global era. Through Civics, it is hoped that it can form citizens who have insight, attitudes and behavior with the appropriate paradigm of Indonesian nationalism, have a national identity, and contribute to the development of the nation and state in the concept of the Indonesian nagsa state. An understanding of Indonesia's constitutional political system and government system will be able to provide the importance of loyal citizens in political life and a constitutional nation state. Civics courses are also expected to be able to form attitudes and behavior that understand and respect human rights, democratic civil society, provide insight into the country's territory, both historical, juridical and national jurisdiction in Indonesia, as well as provide insight into geopolitics and geostrategy of development efforts in all fields, as well as Indonesia's role in participating in realizing world peace on the basis of independence. Apart from providing substantial material, practically this course is oriented to provide prospective MI teachers with insight and skills in Civics material. Therefore, in terms of learning design, the focus will be on understanding the standard content of Civics material at MI as regulated by the government |
