Visiting the Faculty of Education, University of Malaya

On October 12, 2017, a briefing orientation with the topic "Cross Culture Understanding" was given in room 212 before departure. This orientation prepares participants to be more mature as they begin a new life in Malaysia for the following four days. On October 18, 2017, a technical discussion was held to discuss what must be prepared before departure that EO had not mentioned in the briefing a few days prior. Everything is carefully designed to minimize terrible things, from group matters to individual matters. The release of Managerial Training Practice (PPM) participants took place on October 25, 2017, in the Meeting Room, which was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, State Islamic University Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta (UIN).
On October 31, 2017, PGMI students arrived at the Faculty of Education, University of Malaya (UM). At the University of Malaya, the PPM delegation was picked up by faculty at 10.15 a.m. and invited to the conference room. The conference room was not utilized because of the large number of PPM attendees. We were also encouraged to relocate to an auditorium venue that could seat more students. In the room, we were greeted by a presentation from the University of Malaya. We were given information about the study programs in the Faculty of Education, activities that are usually carried out, scientific publications, and the track record of the faculty of Education at the University of Malaya, where research is a significant point, through a video documentary, PowerPoint slides, and explanations from the University of Malaya. Internationally accredited publications and the necessity for PhD students to submit two articles in Scopus journals show that research is highly valued.
So it stands to reason that this institution may climb to 41st in the world and become Malaysia's most outstanding university.
The following session focused on questions and replies. Students can ask more detailed questions regarding the University of Malaya during this session. During this session, the University of Malaya also gave an official link to the institution where students could learn more about the study program and the courses offered. Following the conclusion of the question and answer session, UIN Sunan Kalijaga was allowed to explain their major. PGMI decided on a chorus. The following session consisted of handing gifts from UM to UIN, a group photo session, a banquet, and a tour of the faculty library. At 13.15 local time, the event at the University of Malaya finished.
